Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka and the Body in Contemporary Art

At MUVEC in Mestre, this exhibition explores the body through Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka, linking early twentieth-century Vienna to postwar and contemporary art. It follows this theme across Nouveau réalisme, Conceptual Art, Body art and performance, with works by Piero Manzoni, Yves Klein, Ana Mendieta and Gina Pane, showing the body as image, symbol and political message.
