What is used today?
This edition sets no HTTP cookies and uses no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels or fingerprinting. It uses first-party browser local storage for the technical functions listed below. Unlike cookies, these values are not automatically attached to web requests.
Technical storage needed for a function expressly requested by the visitor does not require prior cookie consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. We provide an informational banner and this inventory. “Continue”, closing the notice or scrolling is not consent to any non-essential use. If such services are introduced, this policy and the controls must be updated and any required prior consent obtained before activation.

Manage storage on this device
Remove individual places or clear your list on My Venice. The control below removes all three Visit Venezia storage entries from this browser, restores the default motion setting and reopens the notice. It does not delete server logs or email correspondence.
You may also block or delete site storage in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking storage prevents preferences from surviving navigation; public guides remain accessible. Browser synchronisation, private browsing and automatic data removal may affect persistence.

Use “Cookie & storage settings” in the footer at any time. There are no analytics or marketing categories to activate in this edition.
External resources and privacy rights
Images and fonts are hosted locally. External links open third-party websites only when followed and their own policies then apply. Read our privacy policy for connection logs, legal bases, recipients and rights. Reference: Garante guidance on cookies and other tracking tools.
Offline app storage
The PWA uses first-party Cache Storage to keep the basic app files and up to 120 recently visited pages and 100 recent assets on this device. This provides the requested offline browsing function, without sending a browsing profile to a separate service. Entries remain until replaced, removed by the browser or cleared. Open “Install app” in the footer to remove downloaded guides and images. To remove all app data, use your browser’s site-data controls; uninstalling the icon may not erase all browser data.
