Erwin Wurm. Dreamers

Museo Fortuny in Venice hosts the first extensive Italian monographic exhibition on Austrian sculptor Erwin Wurm, born in 1954 in Bruck an der Mur. Wurm expanded sculpture's concept, questioning time, mass, surface, abstraction and representation, and long used clothing for sculptural concerns. His path often crossed that of Mariano and Henriette Fortuny. After studying in Vienna, he gained international success with One Minute Sculptures, begun in 1996-97.
